Cards for Men!

Today is my lovely Husband's Birthday, so what better excuse to make a masculine themed card!

and..... at class last week there were also requests from my lovely ladies for Men's cards..........after a very loud groan from me, because let's face it.............we all dislike making cards for Men, don't we?

They are so supportive and are a great bunch, so of course I set to work and this is the result..........hope you like them girls :)

This easel card is the one I made for Andy......I didn't want to write in it as I will be taking it to class next week, so I wrote on a Post-it Note instead!! Good job he loves me isn't it :)

For all these cards I have used the wonderful 'To the Nines' speciality papers.............these are stunning and I have to say the quality is card not paper! they are perfect to work with and the patterns are so right for Men's cards!

I hope I have inspired you a little today!

A few cards more.....

It's been a whole week since I last shared anything with you so today................. i have a few things for you to see, starting first with some of the little Thank You cards i made for my Stampers 10 groups........................

These were made with the Sale-a-Bration set 'Good Neighbours'......... the cute little houses are just so sweet, and look equally good on their own or you could of course make a whole street with them!

Of course we are fast approaching Valentines day when we all need to send our loved one a little card to show we care......................These were some that i made as samples for my ladies at my regular Tuesday workshop..................not sure which one i will give to my hubby yet!

I had a go at brayering the backgrounds for these cards as i didn't have the card colours that i wanted..............Regal Rose & Rose Red............quite pleased with how they turned out :)

And last up we have some more cards that were samples for my class using the fabulous 'Happy Moments' set and some lovely bright colours.....

4 x 4 cards, just perfect to give as a gift or to keep in your stock box for when you need a quick card to send to a friend........i'm in the process of designing a box/bag to put these in and i'll be back to show you that soon!
All the Sale-a-Bration sets are ideal for this size of card and can be made quickly if you are in a hurry! If you would like to have any of these sets for yourself just drop me an e-mail carol@casamiacrafts.co.uk and i will explain how you can get them for FREE!

I hope you have enjoyed these projects today........i've been asked to design some cards that are suitable for men........always need to think a bit harder for these type of requests but i will do my best, so watch this space!! In the meantime, if you have any questions about today's cards, just leave me a note here and i will get back to you :)

Make & Take Projects

I mentioned yesterday that i would pop back and show you the Make & Takes from Saturday's SAB 2010 training event, so............... here they are...........

I am happy to say that i finished these at home as i didn't want to rush them! the only one i made while i was there was the green one with the dots...........and as you can see, i didn't place my dots very carefully!! The bottom left is designed to hold a little treat of some kind and the cute little tote is a perfect fit for the Love Notes.

There were prizes given for the first few to complete these projects in the time allowed, but i don't work so well under the pressure of a time limit, so i completed them on Saturday evening at home.

Below is a photo of all the swaps i received.......i think there were about 35 people there but i only managed to make 18...............what a varied selection i received though! Don't you just love Linda's giraffe.............made with lots of different punches! he's sooo cute!!

I'm sure these will provide lots of inspiration when you receive your SAB sets! and if you have not managed to acquire any yet and would like to have some for yourself, just drop me an e-mail carol@casamiacrafts.co.uk and i will tell you how you can get them! :)

Hopefully i will be back very soon with some more to share, thanks for popping in today ;-D

SAB Training Swaps

The day at Peterborough on Saturday was fabulous! I got to meet lots of lovely ladies and had fun as well. Monica and Bekka provided us with lots of business advice as well as some great 'Make & Takes' and a lovely goody bag on arrival :)

Having never been to an event like this, i wasn't quite sure what would happen throughout the day............the first thing that everyone tends to do is exchange 'swaps' as well as being an ice-breaker it is a great way of sharing ideas! so here are the swaps i made to take with me yesterday...... all made with the 'Vintage Labels' SAB set............it's the only set i have until my orders go in on Wednesday!!
remember the little sneaky peek i showed you the other day......... they are puffy boxes with a little House of Dorchester choccy inside :)

and last but not least..............and you will have to excuse that some of the cards are upside down!! I got my hubby to take the photo just literally before i ran out the door!.........anyone that knows me well will know that i always have to dash at the last minute!

The rest of the morning consisted of some training and games led by Bekka & Monica, then we had lunch. After lunch we then went on to the Make & Takes, followed by some more training and a talk by Julie on recruiting. I didn't finish the M&T's while i was there but i have since completed them at home and i will show you those tomorrow :)

I'd like to say a special 'Hello' to Joanne, and Anne...............two lovely ladies from Featherstone and Hull................great to meet you, and i hope to see you again, maybe at the all dayer in April! Oh and Jo, i will definitely be trying out your technique with the felt and re-inkers.........it was fab!!

Thanks for popping in today, see you tomorrow with the 'goodies' from the event!
